Information

In the midst of a gas shortage, a new member of China's natural gas supply map will usher in the Third West-East Gas Pipeline (hereinafter referred to as "the third line").

This newspaper was exclusively informed that the third line of the west, starting from Xinjiang, traveled east to Shaoguan, Guangdong. It will provide a steady stream of Central Asian airflow to the eight provinces and autonomous regions along the route. The completion of the West Third Route will change the domestic natural gas supply pattern.

In fact, the West Third Line is just one of the main pipeline networks that the country is planning to build. According to the plan, 17 natural gas pipeline projects including the West Fourth Line, the China-Myanmar Pipeline, and the Shaanxi-Beijing Third Line will be completed and put into production in 2015.

At that time, China's natural gas "network era" will come. China's "gas shortage" problem will also be solved.

The west section of the West Third Line is under construction

The West Third Line, which has been following the industry for a long time, finally has an answer.

On November 20th, at the "2009 China Natural Gas Market Supply and Demand and Urban Gas Development Forum", Wang Bin, deputy chief economist of China National Petroleum and Pipeline Branch, said: "The West Third Route has been initially determined, with a designed gas transmission capacity of 30 billion yuan. Fang/year. At present, the western section of the Third West Line (Xinjiang Horgos to Zhongwei in Ningxia) is under construction and is expected to be put into operation in 2012; the eastern section of the third line (Ningxia Zhongwei to Shaoguan, Guangdong) is expected to be put into operation by the end of 2014."

Our reporter obtained the completed Xisan route map from China National Petroleum and Natural Gas Sales Company.

The west third line of the pipeline starts from the first station of Horgos in Xinjiang in the west and reaches the last station in Shaoguan, Guangdong Province in the east. From the Horgos-Xi'an section along the West-East Gas Pipeline 2 from the east, it passes through 8 provinces and autonomous regions in Xinjiang, Gansu, Ningxia, Shaanxi, Henan, Hubei, Hunan and Guangdong.

The West Second Line project consists of one trunk and one branch, with a total length of 4,661 kilometers, and the trunk line is 4,595 kilometers long, about 3,000 kilometers parallel to the West Second Line; the branch line is Jingmen-Duan Yunying, with a length of 66 kilometers; the main trunk line is designed for transmission The gas capacity is 30 billion cubic meters per year, the pressure is 10-12 MPa, and the pipe diameter is 1219 mm, which is the same as the comprehensive parameters of the West-East Gas Pipeline.

"Same as the West Second Line, Central Asian natural gas is still the gas source of the West Third Line." Zhu Xueqian, a senior engineer at Sinopec Petroleum Exploration and Development Research Institute, analyzed, "In the future, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and other countries will increase gas supply to China. On the one hand, they rely on natural gas to drive economic and social development. On the other hand, they are trying to get rid of Russia’s economic control and actively strive for cooperation with China."

Central Asia Natural Gas is an important weight for the advance construction of the West Third Line. During the construction of the West Second Line, PetroChina has reserved a route for the West Third Line. West Line 1, Line 2, and Line 3 pass through the Hexi Corridor at the same time, with Ningxia Zhongwei as the gas transfer station. The West Third Line was independently constructed by CNPC.

The China Petroleum Pipeline Bureau Huayou Engineering Construction Company undertook the construction of the Guozigou Tunnel on the West Third Line. “The Guozigou Tunnel is difficult to construct, so the West Second Line and the West Third Line are constructed at the same time. The company internally calls it the “West Third Line Early Test Section”. The length of the pipeline is about 60 kilometers." An official from the Publicity Department of Huayou Engineering Construction Company told reporters.

"Although the western section of the West Third Line has started, the construction of the entire line needs to be reviewed by the Development and Reform Commission. At present, the preliminary route is determined by PetroChina based on local market conditions, and the final route is still finalized by the Development and Reform Commission." Zhu Xueqian said.

Recently, the various natural gas sales branches of PetroChina are in contact with the development and reform commissions and local gas companies that plan to pass the province to investigate the natural gas market conditions in various regions.

According to the plan, in 2014, the West Third Line will run through ventilation. At that time, it will be connected to the main pipeline networks of the West First Line, West Second Line, Shaanxi-Beijing First and Second Line, and Sichuan-East Gas Transmission Line, and a basic natural gas pipeline network that runs from east to west and north to south will be formed. China's "gas shortage" problem will also be solved.

Xie Dan, deputy general manager of Sinopec Natural Gas, said: "At present, China has initially formed a framework with two connecting lines, namely the West-East Gas Pipeline, the Shaanxi-Beijing First and Second Line, the Zhongwu Line, the Seninglan, and the Jining Line and Huaiwu Line. A nationwide natural gas pipeline network with a total length of 35,000 kilometers."

Xie Dan introduced that as of the end of 2008, major natural gas producing areas such as Changqing, Tarim, Southwest, Qinghai have built export pipelines and connected to them. The total mileage is about 24,000 kilometers, accounting for 78% of the country's total mileage, which is higher than the total mileage in 2000. This has basically realized the transformation of natural gas consumption from the periphery to the cross-regional supply; the West-East Gas Pipeline and the connecting line supply gas to 11 provinces and regions, 62 cities, about 57 million households, and 200 million. People benefit.

In order to achieve the connection between natural gas resources and the market, my country is actively promoting the construction of the four major natural gas import channels in the northeast, northwest, southwest and offshore. By 2015, the layout of the natural gas pipeline network will be more reasonable and complete.

"From 2009 to 2015, the state plans to build a new trunk pipeline with a length of 24,000 kilometers, and the total length of the pipeline will reach 48,000 kilometers, double the number in 2008." said Wang Bin, deputy chief economist of China National Petroleum and Pipeline Branch.

"The natural gas pipelines under planning include: West Second Line, West Third Line (Khorgos-Shaoguan), West Fourth Line (Turpan-Zhongwei), China-Myanmar, Zhongwei-Guiyang Pipeline, Sakhalin Natural Gas Pipeline, Shaanxi-Beijing Third Line, Qin 17 natural gas pipeline projects such as the Shenyang Pipeline and Shandong Natural Gas Pipeline Network." Wang Bin said, "By 2015, these pipelines will be put into operation in a concentrated manner, and the national natural gas supply will be greatly improved."

At the same time, in order to ensure natural gas sales, the construction of natural gas branch lines and liaison lines is also actively being promoted. "From 2009 to 2015, the state plans to build approximately 8,000 kilometers of branch pipelines in the four key target markets of the Southeast, Yangtze River Delta, Bohai Rim, and Central South." Wang Bin told reporters.

The southeast coast plans to construct the West Second Line, West Third Line, China-Myanmar Pipeline, and Fujian Branch; the Yangtze River Delta region plans to construct the West Second Line Shanghai Branch, Jinhua-Lishui-Wenzhou-Taizhou Branch and Rudong-Nantong-Jiangdu Pipeline, the main gas supply source It is the West First Line, West Second Line, Jining Line and Jiangsu LNG.

In the Bohai Rim area, it is planned to build new trunk pipelines such as the Qin-Shen line, the Shaan-Jing third line, and the Shandong pipeline network, basically realizing the full coverage of prefecture-level cities, forming a regional pipeline network with flexible transportation, and the main gas supply sources are the Shan-Jing I, II, and III lines and Tangshan LNG.

The central and southern regions are planning to construct the West Second Line, West Third Line trunk, Shiyan branch trunk line, and Xiangtan branch trunk line to further improve the gas supply network and expand market coverage. The main gas supply sources are West First Line, West Second Line, West Third Line, Zhongwu Line and Huaiwu Line .

“my country’s natural gas pipelines will be networked around the national natural gas pipelines, and the construction of supporting urban branch lines will be built, and the basic framework of'crossing east-west, running north-south, and connecting overseas' will be established, forming four atmospheric regions (Xinjiang, Qinghai, Shaanxi, Gansu, Sichuan Chongqing) The national natural gas pipeline network that connects the main trunk line of the export pipeline and imported natural gas pipeline, connecting the sea-gas landing pipeline and imported LNG sources." Wang Bin said.
